Mr Bharatendu Kabi, Head – Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Communication, Hero MotoCorp, said, “We have been partnering with the state government of Haryana in various initiatives in the field of environmental conservation, education, healthcare, skilling and livelihood. Here in Karnal, we are planting trees to develop an urban forest using the Miyawaki method of afforestation, named after Japanese botanist and plant ecologist Akira Miyawaki, who pioneered this method of growing dense urban forests on small patches of land. The uniqueness of these forests is that they grow quite fast as compared to a conventional forest that may take many of years to develop.”
The plantation initiative in Karnal is being done in partnership with International Association for Human Values under the aegis of The Art of Living and Haryana State CSR Trust.
